Winter Immune Boosters

Winter means the cold and flu season is in full swing…

Here are some of my top immune boosters to stay healthy through winter and avoid infections

1 Get plenty of vitamin C.

Fresh fruits & vegetables are our best sources of Vitamin C. Great food sources of vitamin C include berries, citrus, kiwifruit, and dark green vegetables.

2 Drink plenty of clean water

Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your health. For an extra boost, add a slice of lemon, which will provide extra vitamin C.

3 Use Spices & Herbs in cooking

Cook with onions, garlic, ginger, black peppercorn, cayenne pepper, allspice, curry, and turmeric

4. Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day

The body rejuvenates and strengthens when it’s at rest. 7 to 8 hours a day, recommended – Your body will thank you.

5 Exercise!

Exercising is not only a great way to get in shape & makes our body stronger. Even a 30min daily brisk walk is a great cardio work out.

6. Soak up some sun

Get plenty of Vitamin D & get some sun a when the sun is not at its highest.

7. Relax, laugh, and enjoy life
